About Us

Since 1985, the Cobras have been one of Ohio’s premier youth baseball organizations, winning 13 national championships and developing numerous college players. Four Cobras have gone on to play Major League Baseball.

Our coaching philosophy is quite simply a variation of the Golden Rule. We will coach each player the way we want our children to be coached, and we will never lose sight of our commitment to a fun, positive team environment that emphasizes strong character, accountability, respect, excellence, and a love for baseball.

Nearly 40 years ago, co-founders Harry Huskey and Tim Hickey wanted to bring competitive travel baseball to Central Ohio. Their first team began playing together as 10-year-olds and won a national championship just five years later. Since then, more than 1,000 Cobras have competed against teams from 49 states and 18 countries, winning 13 national championships, 125 league titles, and more than 6,000 individual games.

Most importantly, generations of Cobras have made lifelong friendships and developed into excellent young people on and off the baseball field.

The Columbus Cobras have teams from 8U to 18U and host tryouts each summer. Check back regularly
