2018 Cobras HoF Members

Brendan Alas

Brendan played 10 years for the Cobras from 2007-2016 as a infielder and pitcher.

He played in over 550 games and currently holds the all time Cobras record of at bats with 1436.

He also is in the top ten all time in Innings pitched, strikeouts, runs scored, walks, and doubles.

Brendan lead his team 12U Cobra team in 2010 to a 72-20 record which is the most wins of any Cobra team in the 34 year history.

Brendan attended St. Francis DeSales high school and was a member of the varsity baseball team for three seasons and a 315 batting average and was named first team all CCL league and second team all district. He was also a member of the National Honor Society for four years.

Brendan continued his career at Northern Kentucky University and has played in 39 games his first two seasons so far. He is a member of the Presidential Dean’s List at NKU and maintains a 4.0 GPA

Ryan Curl

Ryan played center field and was a pitcher for the Cobras for four years from 2006-2009. He was a very important member of the Cobras 2007 World Championship team.

Ryan attended St. Francis DeSales High School. His senior year he was the 2008 Gatorade Ohio Player of the Year,

High School Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner,

Division 2 First Team All-Ohio 2007 & 2009,

Dispatch All-Metro Player of the Year,

Under Armour Pre-Season All American,

Ranked #1 Player in state of Ohio.

Selected in the 31st round of the major league draft by the Kansan City Royals.

He decided to forego the MLB to attend Miami of Ohio University.

Ryan was a four year letter winner at Miami. 

Hunter Tome

Hunter player 9 years for the Cobras from 2008-2016. He was an outstanding catcher during this time.

Hunter attended New Albany High School where he starred as a baseball and football player. His season year he batted 304 and was the recipient of the Bob Talpas Baseball Scholarship Award.

 

He attended Cuyahoga Community College where he played baseball for two years and held a batting average of over 300 and was awarded the conference freshman of the year. His two years there as a catcher his team had a combined record of 92 wins and 28 loses. Hunter graduated with a 4.0 GPA and received his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and earned Academic All American in 2017.

Hunter in enlisting in the United States Air Force.
