The 9U Cobras had a roller coaster week.  They lost against the Columbus Sharks-Silver Wednesday night in the last inning 15-16.  Up by 5 runs in the 5th, the Sharks scored 6 runs in the bottom half of the 5th. The 6th inning was not played due to darkness.  Multiple Cobras had two or more hits. Tyler Lumbard suffered his first Cobra loss of the season.

Over the weekend, the 9U Cobras went 3-1 in the Coaches Against MM tournament held at Berliner Park losing in the semi-finals.  On Saturday, they opened pool play with a 11-3 win against the Cincinnati Stix & 18-5 win against the Lancaster Surge. Danny Collier picked up the win against the Stix & Kaleb Schaffer picked up the win against the Surge.  Going 2-0 in pool play earned them the #2 seed.

On Sunday, they opened up bracket play against the Tri-County Timberwolves. Down in the 6th inning, Kaleb Schaffer knocked in the winning run, scoring Danny Collier (who knocked in CJ Holt to tie the game) to win the game 10-9.  In the semi-final, Tyler Lumbard would pick up his second loss of the season, as the Sharks jumped up early & it was too big of a deficit to overcome.  Too many mistakes early on opened up the flood gates for a hot hitting Sharks team, as they would pick up the win 14-8 to move on & win the finals.
