The 10u Cobras competed in the Thrill in the Ville on Saturday in Zanesville. We were not able to return on Sunday due to a game with the Cinci Spikes but went 3-0. The victories came against Parkersburg Red Power 18-3, Thunderbolts 15-0 and Highland County 18-1.
Niko Kausky hit a grand slam over the fence and had a two-run homer over the fence. Jeremy Wietelmann added a solo home run over the fence.
On Sunday, we traveled to Cincinnati to play the Cinci Spikes in the pouring rain. We jumped on them in the first inning with a grand slam leading to a 6-0 lead. By the third inning, we were up 12-6. The Spikes battled back and took a two-run lead in the sixth. The Cobras answered and tied the game thanks to a hit from Andrew Patrick followed by a walk by Brody Poston. Poston scored on a passed ball to tie the game. With the bases loaded and two outs, we lost by one on a misplayed ball in the outfield.
