The Columbus Cobras Baseball Association would like to recognize the three newest members selected into the Hall of Fame!

Thomas Gentile a pitcher, first baseman and outfielder from St. Francis DeSales, Eric Brindle a shortstop and pitcher and Zach Huskey a middle infielder, catcher and pitcher both from Pickerington North  are the inductees. Gentile is currently in his senior year at the University of Cincinnati where he is one of the top pitchers on that staff. Huskey is currently in his sophomore season at Cedarville University where he is the starting second baseman. Brindle played at the University of North Carolina Greensboro where he started at shortstop for three years before halting his college career due to an injury.

On Tuesday July 2nd at Ohio Dominican University field these three will officially be inducted between games at approximately 6:00 pm. The first game begins at 4:00 between the Cobras 18U and the Cobras 17U teams. The second game will begin after the ceremonies with the Cobras collegiate team playing against Zanesville.

Longevity(min. of 5 yrs), statistics and representing the organization off the field with class are the three main categories that are requirements to be selected.

President & CEO Harry Huskey who had the pleasure of coaching all three of these players says that,"These three young men and their families made a total committment to the Cobras at an early age and finished as 18 year olds and all played big roles in their teams success. All three played on National Championship Cobras teams.. You will not find any others that give any more on the field than these guys did."

Thomas, Eric and Zach also all earned very nice college baseball scholarships while playing for the Cobras. And all three have been very good in the classroom during high school and college.

Below you will see the career stats for each player.

Congrats again to Thomas Gentile, Eric Brindle and Zach Huskey for being selected into the Hall of Fame.
